CPD, or Continuous Professional Development, is a framework designed to build skills and expand your knowledge. It is a structured way of continuously reviewing competencies; seeking out best practice; acquiring new tools, techniques and theories; and sharing knowledge. It helps you maintain your edge, build your career, and develop expertise, and it improves practice and raises standards across the industry.
The PRCA is committed to creating a culture of CPD across the global PR and Communications industry, and has developed PRCA CPD as an easy-to-use online platform that encourages you to take control of your development by planning, recording, and reflecting on learning goals and achievements.
Our online platform allows you to track, schedule and review your annual CPD points through formal and informal activities, whether it be attending training courses, networking events or national conferences, or even picking up a copy of an industry magazine. A full list of CPD partners and activities can be found in the ‘Available Shared Activities’ feature.
You need to obtain 160 points within the annual cycle, including completing any formal PR and/or Communications ethics activity (e.g. attending a talk or training session). Each annual cycle begins on 01/10, and ends on 30/09.
So get started today, and join in helping to raise standards across the PR and Communications industry.
